Why we built QuietCue
We noticed something: teens and young adults were caught between therapy apps that felt too heavy and social outlets that felt performative. There was no simple, private space to just check in with yourself.
So we built one. QuietCue Journals is a mood check-in and guided journaling experience designed for real life — school, sleep, friends, transitions. It meets you where you are, not where you think you should be.

Our mission
To give every teen and young adult a consistent, private routine that helps them recognize emotional patterns early and self-regulate before overwhelm escalates — without clinical pressure, social performance, or streak-chasing anxiety.
What guides us
Four principles shape every decision we make — from the words we use to the features we build.
Warm, not clinical
We believe support should feel human. QuietCue uses language that normalizes feelings and invites small steps — no diagnoses, no prescriptions.
Clear, not overwhelming
Every screen has one obvious action. We keep flows short, forgiving, and resumable so you can use QuietCue even on your hardest days.
Respectful, not invasive
Your data, your rules. We default to privacy, offer opt-in reminders, and make it easy to export or delete everything.
Progress, not perfection
We encourage consistency and reflection without scores, streaks, or pressure. Showing up is enough.
What QuietCue is not
A diagnostic or clinical treatment tool
A therapist substitute or crisis-response service
A social network, feed, or community forum
A gamified streak-chasing product with pressure-based retention
A parental-monitoring or reporting tool
If you or someone you know is in crisis, please reach out to the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline or text HOME to 741741.
